Using our software solution we can protect and backup entire Microsoft SharePoint servers and farms on Windows Server 2003 and 2008.
In addition to backing up the entire SharePoint server without agents, we can also backup individual lists and files within the SharePoint server by installing a small tool onto the SharePoint server itself, allowing our software to connect to the server and request individual objects. This greatly improves restorability by allowing you to restore individual items that a user may have accidentally deleted without needing to recover the entire server.
To perform full backups of a Microsoft SharePoint server you simply require a single Windows installation of our software solution within your Wide Area Network (WAN). The full backup is done without agents by performing a MSSQL backup of the underlying databases.
To perform backups of individual items you simply need a small software tool installed on your SharePoint server, and a single Windows (or even Linux) installation of our software solution anywhere in your network.
