About SAP Backup solutions
The software solution provided is certified for integration by SAP, for use as a backup solution with their enterprise software on HP UX platforms with BR*TOOLS.
Due to the security requirements of SAP, the solution is restricted from initiating backup from outside the SAP server itself. The backing up of the SAP databases, Backup Technology installs their solution’s certified software component onto the SAP server, this then allows the BR*TOOLS to perform backups. The backups are done securely through the encrypted connection to an installation of our software outside the SAP server, instead of a tape.
The software installed is then able to check for any changes made since the previous backup, the changes are then transmitted and stored at Backup Technology’s secure off-site vault.
