Both the Windows and Linux version of Novell can be protected and backed up by our software solution.
To protect a Novell server, you only need either a single Windows or Linux installation of our software solution on a single machine within your Local Area Network (LAN), with credentials to the data on the Novell server(s).
How is this done without agents?
Unlike all other backup solutions, our software doesn’t require remote agents to be installed on any Novell machine it needs to backup. Our agentless software can integrate itself with the Windows or Linux platform it is installed on and, using native Windows or Linux API procedures exposed by the platform, remotely access files on the remote Novell machines using the operating system alone – like a user browsing a network share.
Our agentless method not only simplifies the setup process, but also drastically reduces the administration overhead by reducing installation tasks to a single machine on the network.
