Our software solution can perform live backups of databases and transaction logs on your clustered or non-clustered Microsoft SQL (MSSQL) Servers, giving you the ability to perform Point in Time (PIT) recovery but without the need for tapes, or agents. We can also protect the master database in the event of loss of the entire server.
You just need a single Windows installation of the software within your Wide Area Network (WAN) and credentials to connect to the MSSQL Server.
How is this done without agents?
The software solution we provide has native support for MSSQL which allows it to connect to the MSSQL Server and request backups of databases and transaction logs from across the WAN in the same way applications would access the server.
