Virtually any Linux or UNIX machine with a UNIX-SSH daemon, NFS server or CIFS server, can be protected and backed up using our software.
All you need is a single installation of our software solution on a single Linux machine within your Local Area Network (LAN) and any credentials that the software may need to access the resources that will then be backed up.
How is this done without agents?
Just like a Windows machine, Linux machines are able to communicate with each other natively. With our software solution installed on a Linux machine, it can then use the Linux installation’s native APIs to communicate with the other Linux machines that you wish to back up and access. As such, you can get to their resources without the need for any additional software. This process really will streamline your operations by accessing and protecting your data efficiently and securely.
Supported Versions
All Linux and UNIX operating systems with a UNIX-SSH daemon, NFS server or CIFS server can be protected. Additionally, any system which can be remotely mounted onto a directory on the machine housing our software solution can be protected.
