Using our software solution you can protect and backup your entire Microsoft Exchange server at mail store level without the need for any tapes or agents, allowing you to recover quickly from any disaster that causes the loss of any of your email servers.
If you require extra granularity on the items you want to protect and recover, you can install a small software tool onto your Exchange server machine that will allow our software solution to backup your server at item level. Put simply, you will be able to backup individual mailboxes, emails, contacts and distribution lists and, in the case of a user accidentally deleting that all important email, simply recover just that email instead of the entire email server.
How is this done without agents?
When our software takes a full Exchange server dump it connects to the Exchange server using the Exchange MAPI. This allows our software to request a complete dump of individual mail stores which can then be backed up across the network like regular files.
