In addition to hot backups of Exchange, Groupwise & Lotus Notes information stores Backup Technology also provide Message Level Restore which enables you to back up and restore emails, calendar and contact items at individual object level.
Message Level Restore searches for new emails based on a user defined filter. It transforms the email into a data stream and passes this stream to the backup client in order to transfer it to Backup Technology's secure UK data centres.
Backup Technology currently offers email message restore for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes Domino and Novell GroupWise users to protect and restore individual or group emails, at the mailbox level, without interrupting the email server.
The feature of email message restore is increasingly important with restores regularly requested to solve contract disputes. Email backup is also a necessary requirement by law for data governed by Data Protection, Freedom of Information Act and the FSA regulations.
