Founded in 2005 by its current senior partners, Backup Technology has grown to become a pioneer in Online Backup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions. Since its inception, the company has tripled in size year on year and now protects the data for some of the largest companies in the world. A large element of Backup Technology’s success can be accredited to their partnership with Asigra – the world leading provider of Online Backup and Disaster Recovery software.

In 2008 Backup Technology were awarded the title of ‘Asigra Global Partner of the Year’, the first Asigra partner to receive this accolade. This is based on the company running the largest Asigra vault outside the US, as well as their industry expertise and world class support. Backup Technology has also achieved the ‘Asigra Marketing award’ in 2009 and the ‘Best Competitive Takeout’ in 2010. In addition Backup Technology has won the ‘B2B Marketing award’ for their Google Adwords campaign. With individual customer data sizes ranging from 50GB to over 100TB, they currently protect well over 3 Petabytes including more than 10 billion files. Backup Technology currently employs 25 full time staff all of who are fully trained by Asigra in Toronto. This means all their employees have the best knowledge of Asigra, as well as offering world class support to all their global customers.
